SHAFTER, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — The Kern County Fire Department said two people were rescued on Wednesday from an inoperable articulating boom lift about 20 feet in the air in Shafter.
Firefighters were called to Richland Junior High School, located at 331 Shafter Avenue, regarding two people trapped on the boom lift. Upon arrival, firefighters said they saw the inoperable lift leaning over two buildings, with two people in the bucket.
A KCFD ladder truck responded to the area and firefighters used the reach of the ladder to access both people. They were rescued and walked down the ladder.
No injuries were reported.
