2 wanted, 5 others arrested after string of armed robberies in Kern, Tulare counties
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
Five men have been arrested on suspicion of carrying out a string of armed robberies in Kern and Tulare counties.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said it's connected these suspects to 14 robberies over 15 months. Twelve of the robberies took place in Tulare County, but one took place in Bakersfield, and another took place in Delano.
More than $250,000 was stolen during all of the robberies, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The suspects have also been connected to a robbery and an attempted burglary in Nebraska.
“These dangerous fugitives had to be arrested,” Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said in a news release. “I dedicated resources collaboratively with Porterville Police Chief Eric Kroutil to capture these violent suspects.”

- Leonard Martinez, 41, (Strathmore)
Two suspects remain outstanding. They're identified as:
- Ulises Medina, 24 (Earlimart)
- Homero Palomino Ontiveros, 32 (Earlimart)
