4 charged with selling synthetic drugs through Bakersfield mini-marts

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Federal prosecutors says four men sold synthetic drugs through mini-marts and smoke shops they owned in Bakersfield.

A grandy jury returned an indictment last week against 28-year-old Mubarek Alnajar, 24-year-old Yousef Nazem Alnajar, 46-year-old Nazem Ahmed Alnajar and 39-year-old Bandar Gamal Saleh Alnaggar.

Their alleged crimes took place between August 2016 and March of this year, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office wasn't able to provide the names of the shops operated by the defendants.
