The California Natural Resources Agency has announced $76 million in funding for 39 green infrastructure projects, including two in Kern County.

These environmentally friendly projects are funded by cap-and-trade revenues.

Getting funds in Kern are Pathways to a Greener Arvin ($527,447) and Eleventh Avenue Center Greening Project in Delano ($527,762).

“These innovative projects will improve the state’s urban areas and create green spaces that are more sustainable and enjoyable,” California Secretary for Natural Resources John Laird said in a news release. “Urban greening projects help meet our greenhouse gas emissions targets while contributing to healthy and vibrant communities.”
