Bakersfield College is hosting a pair of community forums Monday to provided updates on Measure J projects.

The bond measure was approved by voters in 2016.

People can learn more about the construction of the Bakersfield College Arvin Center from 5-6 p.m. at the Arvin Veteran’s Hall, 200 Campus Drive in Arvin.

“We look forward to expanding courses offered in Arvin so that students can complete all or a significant part of their degree locally,” Bakersfield College President Sonya Christian said in a news release.

The college will also host a Measure J forum on its main campus. That forum will run from 2-5 p.m. at the Levan Center, with a general update on the facilities master plan plus breakout sessions.
