Crews extinguish Bakersfield house fire

The Bakersfield Fire Department was able to extinguish a house fire in northeast Bakersfield on Wednesday night.

Crews say the fire started around 8 p.m. on the 900 block of 30th Street. Crews arrived and found a single-family home nearly fully engulfed in flames.

The Fire Department says it's unsure at this time if it was a vacant home or whether it belonged to a family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
