Bakersfield woman sentenced for using fake trucking company to defraud business

A Bakersfield woman has been sentenced in federal court for her role in a business fraud scheme.

Lynnsi Dunbar, 30, and others conspired to defraud Bakersfield Pipe and Supply Inc., the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

She, her husband and another person made up a trucking company and created false invoices for payment in 2014, the federal prosecutors said.

Kye Dunbar was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison.

The case against the third defendant, Daniel Harte, is still pending.
