BFD has 10 firefighters in the battle with Ferguson Fire near Yosemite

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The Bakersfield Fire Department on Wednesday said it has 10 firefighters helping battle the Ferguson Fire near Yosemite.

The Fire Department says in a news release:

“BFD Firefighters have been on the front lines since July 14th and have worked tirelessly cutting line with hand tools, conducting firing operations, protecting century-old structures, and providing water relays. BFD Firefighters remain in good spirits and are committed to working long hours in dense smoke and high temperatures.”

The Bakersfield firefighters there are: Capt. Stephen Vizzard, Engineer Thomas Jacobsen, Firefighter Randy Frickson, Firefighter Cody Hatfield, Capt. Michael Taylor, Engineer Cody Adams, Firefighter Jorge Esparza, Capt. Kristopher Reynolds, Engineer Brandon Davis and Firefighter Jordan Meyer.
