Bicyclist struck by Kern County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle, suffers minor injuries

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A bicyclist suffered from minor injuries after he was struck by a KCSO patrol vehicle Thursday afternoon.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on January 25, 2024, at around 1 p.m., a patrol vehicle traveling eastbound on Norris Road near Wells Avenue in Oildale when the driver struck a bicyclist.

KCSO said the bicyclist, identified as a man, suffered minor injuries.

He was treated on scene by medical personnel and declined any further medical aid, according to KCSO.
