Thanksgiving is over, which means the holidays are in full swing.

Bakersfield Christmas Town at the Kern County Museum opened Friday night.

For six years, families have experienced the magic of the interactive holiday spectacular.

From ice skating to sledding, the winter wonderland entertains the thousands of people that walk through its gates. And for many it's more than just a holiday get together. It's about being with loved ones.

Christmas Town will be open most days through New Year's Eve from 5:30-9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

General admission costs $20, members of the military receive a $5 discount. Tickets may be purchased online.
