City gives approval for demolition of properties along Centennial Corridor project

The Bakersfield City Council on Wednesday night gave its blessing to the demolition of properties along the Centennial Corridor highway project.

Two demolition companies were given nearly $1 million to take out 47 properties that are either owned by the city or vacant.

A demolition date has not been set.
