A vacant commercial structure caught fire early Tuesday morning.

The Bakersfield Fire Department said the fire started around 2:30 a.m. at Jewett and 30th Street.

Firefighters didn't say what started the fire, though they said it could be to blame on transient activity.

Firefighters said part of the building collapsed, and electrical lines fell during the fire.
