The Kern County Coroner's Office released the official cause of death for 21-year-old Joseph Isaac Lara on Wednesday.

The coroner's office said his cause of death was cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine intoxication.

Lara's body was found buried in the backyard of a home late last month.

Police arrested 25-year-old Dennis Marroquin, 30-year-old David Williams and Kailee Morrison in connection with the case.

Lara went missing around Jan. 10. His body was found Jan. 23 in the backyard of a home on Hathaway Avenue, near Taft Highway and Ashe Road.
