Coroner releases name of pedestrian hit, killed by cars

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County coroner's office on Friday identified a pedestrian hit and killed by cars as 56-year-oldRoger Michael Oswald.

Officers responded shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday to the 7300 block of White Lane after reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. According to police, the man was crossing the street when a vehicle struck him near Lilly Drive.

Two other vehicles hit Oswald after the initial crash.

Oswald died at the scene.

Police said all three drivers told them the light was green at the intersection at the time of the crash.
