All lanes open following Hwy 99 crash

A crash along Highway 99 involving two semitrucks had shut down several southbound lanes Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. and just north of White Lane.

The California Highway Patrol said two big rigs were slowing down for utility company workers in the area when they collided. One driver was trapped in his truck and suffered major injuries, according to the CHP.

The CHP reopened all lanes just before 7 a.m.
