Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — UPDATE (NOV. 7 11:35 A.M.): The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the motorcyclist killed as 58-year-old David Wayne Horsley of Bakersfield.

A deadly crash in Oildale left a motorcyclist dead Sunday afternoon.
According to CHP, officers responded to a report of a crash at around 3:14 p.m. on Nov. 6, on China Grade Loop near Tanker Road.
CHP said preliminary investigation found that a man was riding his 2000 Harley Davidson westbound on China Grade Loop, approaching Junction Road, at an unknown rate of speed.
Just ahead of the Harley Davidson, a man was driving his 2012 Ford F-250, preparing to turn left onto Junction Road from China Grade Loop, according to CHP.
The Ford began to make a left turn when the Harley Davidson crossed over double yellow lines and attempted to pass the Ford on the left, when the Harley Davidson crashed with the Ford, according to CHP.
The rider of the Harley Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The use of alcohol/drugs as a result of this crash is still under investigation.
