BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Delano Regional Medical Center plans to become part of Adventist Health.

Hospital officials announced this week that the two entities have signed an agreement that’s subject to federal and state approval. That process could take three to four months, they said.

“After careful review, Delano selected Adventist Health because its commitment to agricultural communities and its approach to providing care best aligned with Delano’s mission and direction,” DRMC President Bahram Ghaffari said in a news release.

Adventist Health said it doesn’t anticipate significant changes with management or staffing at DRMC.
