Detectives seek fresh witnesses in Tehachapi homicide investigation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The Kern County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday morning put out a fresh call for help in solving a Tehachapi homicide.

Cheyenne Watkins, 23, was found shot to death June 1 at a house in Golden Hills.

The Sheriff’s Office says detectives have collected evidence and interviewed a “tremendous amount of people.”

People of interest have been identified, but no arrests have been made.

The Sheriff’s Office says it’s seeking additional witnesses, or even people who have talked about the shooting with a potential suspect.
