Dog with two legs show a disability doesn't define you

A dog without two legs might sound like an underdog story, but little Noel is showing everyone a disability doesn't have to limit you.

She was hit by a car, shattering her two front legs.

"They had stabilized her but weren't sure if she was going to make it through the night, so she was in shock, she was in really, really bad shape," said Zach Skow, director of Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue.

Skow took her in and was faced with a decision, to put Noel down or amputate her legs.

"We made the decision to push on, amputate and try and save her life," said Skow.

It wasn't easy, but it ended up being the right choice.

"As soon as she woke up, she started figuring out how to walk, she started trying to figure out how things were done, and she almost seemed relieved to be rid of the burden of her two shattered legs," said Skow.

Now, Noel shows she can conquer anything.

"I don't believe she is defined by her disability, but instead she is defined by all the abilities that she does have," said Skow.
