Forest Service battles wildland fire near Isabella Lake

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The U.S. Forest Service on Thursday reported a 2-3 acre wildland fire in the area of Highway 155 and Sawmill Road.

Twelve engines from the Forest Service and Kern County Fire Department responded, along with air support.

There were no evacuations, and the fire was contained quickly.

Officials didn't say what caused the fire.
