Friends, family and community members came together Saturday to help raise money for 23-year-old Cheyenne Sara Watkins.

Watkins was found dead last week after deputies were dispatched on a report of an "injured person" on the 19700 block of Kid Place.

They arrived and found Watkins's body with a gunshot wound to her head.

A car wash and barbecue was held at Savannah's Old Town Saloon to help raise funds for her funeral.

Family members said Watkins was fun loving person who was taken too soon.

No suspect information has been released in the case and anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at (661) 861-3110 or the Secret Witness hotline at 322-4040.

Anyone who wishes to donate can do so at Savannah's Old Town Saloon. A donation jar has been set up there.
