Honor Flight Kern County is holding a daylong fundraiser Thursday at three locations.

The all-volunteer group flies veterans from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War to Washington, D.C., to see their memorials. The trips are provided free to the veterans, but Honor Flight Kern County says it costs $1,500 per veteran for the flights.

The group will resume its flights in April, with a goal of two flights for Vietnam veterans and four flights for veterans of World War II and the Korean War.

To donate via cash or check, stop by one of the following locations until 6:30 p.m. Thursday:

  • parking lot near P.F. Chang's off Stockdale Highway
  • parking lot between Chuy’s and Original Roadhouse Grill off Rosedale Highway
  • KGET TV, 22nd and L streets
