I-5 reopens 5,000-acre wildfire continues to burn in Santa Clarita

Interstate 5 has reopened after a wildfire shut it down Tuesday morning in the Santa Clarita area.

The Rye Fire was last reported by Cal Fire at 5,000 acres with 5 percent containment.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station posted evacuations on its Facebook page.

Meanwhile, thousands were forced to evacuate raging wildfires in Ventura County and other parts of Los Angeles County.
