KCSO: 15-year-old boy arrested after injuring person with firework

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday for allegedly injuring someone with a firework a day earlier.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office said the suspect threw a lit, illegal aerial firework into a crowd of people in the area of Virginia and Flower streets. The firework detonated under a vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle and minor injuries to a nearby adult.

The Sheriff’s Office said the suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall for alleged attempted murder.
