Shooting injures man on McCord Avenue, suspect at-large

UPDATE (3/28/22)

Deputies are investigating a shooting that injured a man Sunday afternoon, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Just before 2:50 p.m. on McCord and Plymouth avenues, deputies found a man with a non-life threating injury to his stomach caused by a gunshot. Officials said the victim was shot during a disturbance.

KCSO said a suspect is described as a White man, who fled the scene in a black GMC truck, which was found three hours later unoccupied in an alley in the 2700 block of N. Chester Avenue.

Deputies are investigating.
