Kern County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are looking for a second person wanted for questioning in the murder of a Bakersfield man.

William Alford, 34, disappeared in October 2018 and shortly after his disappearance, detectives began an investigation, which led them to believe he was a victim of murder.

The suspected murder site was a residence in the 40900 block of Taylor Street in Caliente.

Early in December, detectives served a search warrant at the home of Daniel Rhoads, 45. During the search, it was determined that Alford had been murdered at that home.

Detectives learned that Alford’s remains had been removed from the home and taken to an unknown location. Alford's body has not been found.

Rhoads was arrested Dec. 6 and is currently going through court proceedings.

Detectives are looking for a woman who may have been involved with the crime – Susana Sanchez, 31. She is considered a person of interest.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Sanchez or the suspected murder is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (661) 861-3110 or the Kern Secret Witness line at 322-4040.
