KCSO: Wife arrested on suspicion of murdering husband
UPDATE: Authorities have confirmed after an autopsy that Jack Rosema was shot in the back of the head two times.
His wife, Lila Rosema, has admitted to the crime, saying she "snapped" when she went to the bedroom safe to grab the gun later shooting Jack Rosema.
According to court documents, he was naked, unarmed and walking out of the house as he was shot.
During her interview, Lila Rosema also stated the second shot was accidental and feels she would go to hell for what she did.
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Kern County sheriff's deputies have arrested the wife of a man who was shot and killed in Mojave.
Deputies said on June 4 they found 63-year-old Jack Rosema suffering from a gunshot wound on the 6000 block of Backus Road.
The shooting was initially called in by his wife Lila Rosema, who had claimed Jack Rosema had shot himself.
Deputies said through further investigation, it was determined that Jack Rosema was likely a victim of murder.
After further investigation, deputies arrested Lila as a suspect in the case.
