KCSO: Woman who planned to hike Pacific Crest Trail from border to border hurts ankle
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
A woman who planned to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mexican border to the Canadian border was rescued Sunday after hurting her ankle, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office said the 24-year-old woman from Fremont started her hike in late March.
The woman's name was withheld.
The Sheriff's Office said search-and-rescue volunteers found the woman and escorted her to an urgent care clinic.
