Kern County coroner's office identifies people killed in collision on Old River Road

The Kern County coroner's office has identified the two people who were killed in a crash on Old River Road Monday.

The office has identified them as 45-year-old Maria Ele Chavoya De Mosqueda and 20-year-old Itzel Lorena Mosqueda–Chavoya.

The two women were killed in a head-on collision with a grey Lexus that was attempting to pass a tractor trailer.

The women were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

A GoFundMe has been set up for burial costs for the two women who passed away.
