Kern County Fair releases 2017 free concert lineup

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- The Kern County Fair has announced its lineup for the 2017 free concert series.

Among those performing at the Budweiser Pavilion during this year's fair will be Old Dominion, Smash Mouth, LeAnn Rimes and Steppenwolf. The lineup includes a variety of classic rock, country, Norteño and Christian music, as well.

Concerts are included with paid admission to the fair, Sept. 20 to Oct. 1.

"We are thrilled with this year's lineup at the Budweiser Pavilion," Kern County Fair CEO Mike Olcott said in a news release. "We work tirelessly to bring variety to our fair, and this year's lineup is one of our best."

  • Sept. 21: Tower of Power (8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 22: Sheila E (8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 23: War (8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 24: Ramon Ayala (8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 25: LeAnn Rimes (8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 26: Chris August (8 p.m.)
