Kern County's northeast branch library to be relocated

Officials at the Kern County Library have announced that their northeast branch is relocating.

The new location will be at the East Hills Village shopping complex.

“While moving is never fun, we have a wonderful opportunity to sustain and improve the delivery of Library services to the residents of the Northeast. I hope the public enjoys the new and improved location,” said Kern County Supervisor Mike Maggard in a news release.

The branch is currently at 3725 Columbus St. and will be closed June 1 through June 30. The new location, 2671 Oswell St., will open July 1.
