List: What charities need for Erskine Fire relief

Eyewitness News is staying in touch with local charitable groups on their Erskine Fire relief needs. This list will be updated over the coming days.


  • Needs monetary donations
  • Red Cross isn't equipped to handle a large influx of donations, such as household items, clothing or food
  • Partnering with the Goodwill to set up a distribution site in Kern River Valley for residents to access these donations free of charge


FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH, 20 Panorama Drive, Wofford Heights

  • Needs volunteers
  • Needs sleeping bags, baby medication, thermometers, baby wipes, adult medication (Tylenol, Advil), snacks, ziplock bags, nonperishable food items, ice chests, cat and dog food, pop-up tents, feminine products, and toiletries
  • Does not need clothing

VALLEY THRIFT SHOP AND FOOD PANTRY, 4621 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella

  • Needs volunteers, tents, mattresses, water, food that can be made into a meal, and laundry soap

ELKS LODGE, 6708 Wofford Boulevard, Wofford Heights

  • Needs monetary donations
  • Needs nonperishable food items, canned goods, can openers, granola bars, baby snacks, infant and toddler Tylenol, adult medications, diapers and pull-ups size 5 & 6, peroxide, bandaids, sunblock, chapstick, hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, femenine hygiene products, women's deoderant, underwear, socks, vinegar
  • Does not need clothing


  • Customers can donate to the Red Cross at Wells Fargo ATMs through July 12

GRANITE STATION SADDLERY AND FEED, 4475 Buck Owens Blvd., Bakersfield

  • Collecting water, food, clothes, diapers, blankets, encouraging notes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, animal food, boxes for shipping, towels, baby formula and batteries
