BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Hundreds of members from more than 20 different unions came together to march on Labor Day in Bakersfield.
Union members told us that today is a day to celebrate all hardworking people and their rights.
Members came together at Jastro Park to unify their voices about the work that's left to be done. They marched together celebrating the accomplishments of the labor movement.
Imelda Ceja-Butkiewicz, president of the Kern, Inyo & Mono Counties Central Union Labor Council, AFL-CIO, spoke to the importance of unions.
