BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – This is Fire Prevention Week.

Casey Snow, a battalion chief and the public information officer with the Bakersfield Fire Department, stopped by Eyewitness News on Monday to talk about how people can quickly and safely escape a house fire.

This year’s campaign advises people to:

  • Look for places fire could start.
  • Listen for the sound of the smoke alarm.
  • Learn two ways out of every room.
