Officers arrested a man Tuesday after he allegedly tossed a stolen gun from a stolen car during a short, slow-speed pursuit.

Police tried to conduct a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Alameda Avenue, and the driver didn't stop.

Police said the driver stopped after getting rid of the gun, which was recovered.

The driver was identified as Mario Santacruz. He was arrested on suspicion of gun possession, possessing a stolen vehicle and possessing drugs.
