Man walking from Bakersfield to LA in support of those without health insurance

A 61-year-old man is walking 150 miles over five days from Bakersfield to Los Angeles to bring attention to the plight of low-income people living without health insurance.

Santiago Nieto will end his journey Friday at the Mexican Consulate in L.A.

Nieto is walking in support of CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation, which helps cover all or some of the cost of surgery for people who lack resources so they can continue to be productive members of society.
