Name released of man found fatally stabbed on South Union Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The Kern County coroner on Thursday released the name of a man found fatally stabbed Tuesday night on South Union Avenue.

Jessie Angel Romero Mendoza, 27, died in a hospital emergency room. Sheriff’s investigators believe he was stabbed during a fight outside the Bakersfield Lodge on South Union Avenue.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 35 years old, and 5-foot-8 and 185 pounds. He was wearing a white tank top and dark shorts.
