SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California emergency officials reported there were no injuries when an early morning fire at television station KCRA forced staff evacuations.
The Sacramento Bee reports a Sacramento Fire Department official says the fire started between the first and second floor of a building at the station just after midnight Sunday.
Fire department spokesman Keith Wade says smoke and water damage were reported but the extent of the damage was not immediately known.
Wade say it is unclear what impact there will be on operations at the Sacramento NBC affiliate’s headquarters.
An investigator has been assigned to determine the cause of the fire.
