Off-duty BPD officer wounded in Las Vegas mass shooting

An off-duty Bakersfield police officer was injured during the mass shooting Sunday night on the Las Vegas Strip, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The department said several of its off-duty officers were attending the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival when shots rang out.

Officer Aaron Mundhenke was struck by a bullet and is being treated at a hospital. The department said he's expected to survive.
