Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, 9410 Rosedale Highway, has been closed by the Kern County Public Health Services due to rodent droppings found in the store.

A health inspector observed rodent droppings behind sugar and flour pallets in the back food-storage area on Friday.

The investigator noted that a “deep cleaning” is required.

The inspection report said the store must clean and sanitize and abate all vermin and obtain a sanitary survey from a licensed pest-control company before reopening. A reinspection is also required.

Eyewitness News reached out to the local Krispy Kreme store and to corporate headquarters, but was unable to contact anyone.
