Jenny Rae Le Roux from Irvine has been a businesswoman for 20 years.

Over the last 10 years, she has owned a management consulting business.

The Republican will be running against Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom in the California primary election.

She says as an executive, she knows what it takes to reshape the state.

Le Roux says California has lost people and businesses but feels like she could bring growth back to the state.

"Out of all of the candidates, I'm the only one who has worked in organizations the size of the state of California and fixed them and I'm an expert on growth. I'm an international lecturer on growth of places like Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics," Le Roux, said.

Her goals are to make communities safer by focusing on crime and homelessness.

She also says education and bettering the economy are on the top of her to-do list.

The California primary election is June 7.
