Adults wanting to get an education now have another opportunity in south Bakersfield. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday morning to commemorate the opening of the Job Spot at the corner or Panama Lane and H Street.

It's a multiagency educational and employment resource to provide information on local jobs. The Job Spot was built with the help of a $500,000 grant.

The Bakersfield Adult School serves about 12,000 students.
