Salvation Army holding training in Bakersfield for disaster deployment

The Salvation Army is holding workshops Sept. 22 and 23 for people interested in deploying to disaster zones.

The training is required for people to be considered eligible for deployment with The Salvation Army.

The sessions that Friday and Saturday will be held at The Salvation Army, 4417 Wilson Road, in Bakersfield.

SEPT. 22

  • 5:30-8:30 p.m., Introduction to Disaster Services

SEPT. 23

  • 9 a.m. to noon, Disaster Food Services
  • 1-4 p.m., Fundamentals of Emotional and Spiritual Care
  • 6-8:30 p.m., CPR First Aid ($25 per student, limit 12)
