Second suspect arrested in MLK Boulevard homicide

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A second suspect has been arrested in an east Bakersfield homicide.

    Michael Castaneda, 19, was caught late Thursday night, police said. A woman, Edith Vasquez, was also arrested for allegedly harboring Castaneda.

    Louie Arturo Hernandez, 19, was shot Tuesday afternoon on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

    The first man arrested in the investigation was 21-year-old Izreal Rubio, who police said also, at times, spells his name "Israel" or "Isreal."

    A third suspect, 18-year-old Jose Lopez, remains outstanding.
