The Kern Innovation and Technology community is partnering with the All For One movement to help victims of the Erskine Fire.

They are hosting a "hackathon"style event, where groups of programmers, designers and inventors will compete to create a prototype "technology tool" that can help people during or after a wildfire.

The weekend-long event, called Tech Fighting the Wildfire, begins on Friday, Aug. 5. For more information, visit the Tech FTW Eventbrite page.
