Teen dies in SUV crash on Hwy. 46 in Wasco

WASCO, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A teenager died Tuesday night after an SUV he was driving crashed on Highway 46 in Wasco.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office said around 10:05 p.m. Florencio Zamora, 17, lost control of a SUV and it overturned on Highway 46, west of Main Drain Road. KCSO said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the first of two fatal car crashes in Wasco this week, following this morning's crash on Highway 43.
