Teen shot on California Avenue, injured: BPD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 17-year-old was shot and injured Friday night on California Avenue and Chester Lane, said the Bakersfield Police Department.

The shooting happened at around 10 p.m.

The teen suffered minor to moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The teen is expected to survive.

Officers are still investigating. There is no suspect information at this time.
