Two injured in stabbing at Starbucks on Stockdale and California
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
Two people were injured in a stabbing Sunday at a Starbucks on Stockdale Highway and California Avenue.
Officers said they were initially called about an assault with a deadly weapon happening at an apartment complex on nearby Marsha Street. However, a short time later, they were told the disturbance was at the Starbucks.
When officers arrived, they found two people, a man and a woman, suffering from stab wounds, and the suspect was attempting to run away.
Officers were able to arrest the suspect, and the man and woman were taken to the hospital.
Officers believe the woman and the suspect were in a dating relationship, and the man who was stabbed was a bystander who tried to help the woman. The good Samaritan was identified by a family member as Blaine Hodge.
