BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A vacant duplex or apartment in central Bakersfield caught fire Wednesday morning.

The Bakersfield Fire Department said a fire started in the second story of the building on the 100 block of N Street.

Damage is estimated at $85,000, and the cause remains under investigation.
