Bakersfield, California (KBAK/KBFX) — An investigation is underway into what caused a vacant building to go up in flames in south Bakersfield.
Bakersfield fire crews were called to the building on 1800 S. Chester Avenue just before 10 p.m. Monday.
Fire officials said the flames were so intense, crews were not able to go into the building.
Officials tell us the building is known to house squatters and they've been called there before to put out smaller fires.
